Ignis publishes non-fiction that prefers evidence to comfort and brevity to padding. We make books we would want to read.
The imprint
Ignis Publishing is a small independent house registered in Wyoming and founded in 2026. We were started for one reason: too many books we wanted to read were not getting written, because the writers who could write them were waiting for the kind of permission a corporate publisher rarely grants. Ignis exists to grant that permission. The word is Latin for fire — what you read by, what you build with, what you carry into the dark.
What we publish
Cultural commentary, satirical non-fiction, and evidence-driven essays on the questions most people have an opinion about and few people have looked at the data for. Our adjacent territory: cross-cultural studies, history with a thesis, decision-making frameworks for individuals.
We do not publish memoirs, fiction, or anything ghostwritten. We do not publish books whose central argument we cannot point to a chapter and find supported. If a manuscript needs the word journey to describe something other than physical travel, it is probably not for us.
The author
Ignis launches with Killed by Cupid by Yadav Jung Sharma, who writes anonymously. The pen name is intentional. We publish under it because the argument should travel further than the person making it. Press inquiries are welcome — print, audio, and email-Q&A interviews are available. On-camera interviews are not.
What's next
A second title from Yadav is in progress. Future releases will continue the imprint's founding interest: books that argue something specific, in plain prose, with sources you can verify.
